If you love the scent and soft subtle feel of leather, you will love this Bible. I'm at the age where I need reading glasses; the print in this particular Bible is clear and large enough that, it is a struggle, but I can actually see the words without my glasses. Not all "large" print is created equal; you should really hunt around first and actually "look" at the print before you buy. I would strongly suggest you search first at local book stores for a Bible you will love and feel comfortable with before purchasing it on line; acquire the ISBN, then compare prices on line. There are many items I would prefer to purchase at a local store; however, the price of books on Amazon are so much more reasonable. Another reviewer mentioned that the paper isn't of high quality, but let's face it, nothing is made like it used to be. For the money, I feel the paper used in this Bible is just fine and handles a "Bible Highlighter" just fine. This is a "reading" Bible, not so much a "Study Bible", there is no center column references, commentary, etc. I highly recommend this Bible and, I have to say, the seller was excellent to deal with; very pleased.Product details

Paper quality is very poor. No ribbon marker. Thomas Nelson doesn't print quality bibles. I wish another company had the rights to the NKJV because I love the version just not the craftsmanship.
Love the black cover with gold. Light & easy to carry. Perfect smaller bible for anyone with 20/20 vision. 😄🙏

I was looking for a medium sized, genuine leather, KJV Bible with thumb index and this has been perfect. Great sized font, fairly helpful concordance and nice quality feel to it. Of course the subject matter inside is perfect. ;-) If I should find myself in need of another Bible someday, I would hope this one would still be available.
Ordered this for my son. Great gift. The language is easily understood and the print is readable. I would purchase again.
This is not the thin edition, but i love it. the center column cross reference is very helpful to find the meaning of certain verses when compared to other verses in the same subject. this bible has the words of Christ in red and subheadings in the chapters. it also has a concordance at the end of the Bible. i love this Bible
I purchased this Bible in 2008, summer. I've enjoyed it in the time that I've had it. The binding is quality and the pages are sturdy, yet light. It lays flat easily. There are some creased pages throughout, though.Not a huge deal as they are only small wrinkles.
Here is my reason for the one star rating. I do not have confidence that this particular binding is full or correct. In Mark 1114 the text should read "In response Jesus said to it, 'Let no one eat fruit from you ever again.' And His disciples heard it."
What is actually there is "In response Jesus said to it, no one eat fruit from you ever again.' And His disciples heard it."
What is missing is lost as an orphan/widow omission. The part of the verse that reads "In response Jesus said to it," is at the bottom of column one on page 891. The beginning of column two begins "no one eat fruit..." omitting the first quotation mark and first word of Jesus' response, or " 'Let ".
To most this is excusable, and really hasn't yet affected my understanding of the passage, verse or even the sentence. The problem is that attention to detail in the scriptures is of the utmost importance and Thomas Nelson has dropped the ball here.
I will be contacting them to exchange for a different binding or version soon. I will post further with the result.
